Welcome to the official site for the Lake Macquarie Live Steam Locomotive Society Ltd (LMLSLS).

We are a group of community members who build model trains and share them with the public. We follow a set of codes as set out by the AALS in building our trains.

Where are we: We are situated off Velinda Street, Edgeworth, NSW and have limited off-street parking. The land we operate from is provided by LMCC (Lake Macquarie City Council) and maintained by our members.

See Map. Opens in MS Word for printing.

Our Tracks: We have an elevated 3.5 and 5 inch gauge track, and a ground level 5 and 7.25 inch gauge track.

Our tracks run through grass and bushland settings. We have equipment to help facilitate the loading and unloading of locos and carriages. One area is provided for 3.5 and 5 inch gauge; the other for the 7.25 inch gauge. We also have available 12 volt powered supply and compressed air.

We have a couple of areas on both running tracks that facilitates water and coal (or coke) for the locos.

Membership: Membership is by way of an application form and involves a probationary period then full membership. We have costs associated with this that are explained to you on your application.
